Welcome to the Mystic Mog blog, the online home of The McHack RPG!

The McHack is a collection of BX house rules that morphed into a stand-alone OSR game (whatever the heck that means.) It is designed primarily for sword-and-sorcery-style games (low magic, high lethality, early civilization, etc.) set in an Iron-Age world. My hope is that it is simple to play and quick to learn.

Currently there is one core rulebooks- Book 1. My hope is to also publish a Referee’s Guide with monsters, treasure, magic items, and the like, as well as a separate book for my setting of Rhyl.
